Are children welcome?
Yes! Children are very welcome, and encouraged. We do our best to keep the tour exciting for everyone.
WHere are you located? How far are you from Edmonton and Calgary?
Our farm is 5 minutes SW of Ferintosh. We are approximately 1.5 hours from Edmonton and 2.5 hours from Calgary.
How long is the tour? How Far will we be walking?
The tour will be 2 hours. We will be walking for approximately 1 km.
Will there be food, water and bathrooms available?
There will not be food available at the farm. The nearest restaurants are in Ferintosh, Bashaw, and Camrose.
We will have fresh water from our well available. There will be a composting toilet and hand washing station.
Do we need to bring anything?
Wear weather appropriate clothing and shoes/boots. Bring a water bottle, snacks, camera, and anything else you might need for a 2 hour walk.
Who is this tour for? Should I book a private tour instead?
This tour provides a brief overview of the workings of our farm. It is for ethical eaters, gardeners, farmers, permaculturists, DIY'er's, and naturalists. We do our best to answer questions, however if you are interested in a more detailed experience we offer private tours up to 5 hours in length. Contact us for more details.
Where can we find directions to the farm?
After you have registered for the tour  you will be prompted to download an information package that has all the information you will need.
How many people will be there?
We limit the sizes of the tours to 100 people. Once the tour starts we will break into 2 smaller groups and switch after the hour.
I can't make it to this tour, when is your next tour?!!?
We only have one free tour per year. Our 2018 tour will be on the Saturday closest to the summer solstice. If you would like to visit sooner, we do offer private tours for individuals, families, groups, and organizations. Contact us for details.
Is the tour free?
Yes. However we have found it necessary to charge a small registration deposit to insure people who register show up. Space is very limited and we never have enough room for everyone. This fee is refunded to you in cash once you check in at the beginning of the tour. If for any reason you need to cancel, as long as it is 48hrs prior to the start of the tour, we will refund you in full.
What is your Birds, Bees, Bats, & Trees initiative? How can we help?
Planet Earth is now in its 6th mass extinction event. Many of our birds, bees, bats, & trees are on the short list and our farm has become a refuge. This community supported initiative helps us to continue providing habitat, appropriate food, & clean water for the critters that we all depend upon. Find more details about how you can help HERE , or make a donation or purchase a habitat box on the tour day.

Our next Free Farm tour is
